Previously, the record for concurrent players was 2,614, but on December 22nd, it reached 12,496.
This is not a game-as-a-service, so the numbers will decrease over time. However, at the time of publication, more than 7,000 players are simultaneously exploring Pandora, which is almost three times higher than the previous record.
The rating on Steam is also rising – in recent reviews, it has reached 74% positive opinions.
For Ubisoft, this is a notable success: previous releases from the studio, including Star Wars Outlaws, Skull and Bones, and Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown, did not exceed 3.4k, 2.6k, and 1.4k players respectively.
Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora has shown that even after two years, it can once again attract a wide audience.
