The Silent Hill series has returned to active development and is once again vying for players' attention, challenging not only Resident Evil but also the skeptics who considered the franchise permanently lost.
Silent Hill producer Motoi Okamoto told Famitsu about Konami's plans for the series. Silent Hill 2 has become commercially successful, and Silent Hill f is a fresh and original installment. Konami is not going to stop there: Silent Hill Townsfall is scheduled for release in 2026, and Bloober Team is working on Silent Hill Remake, which is scheduled for release in 2027.
According to Okamoto, the company plans to release other projects under the Silent Hill brand in the future. The goal is to move to a stable schedule with one new game per year.
Starting with the release of Silent Hill 2 in October 2024, we managed to release Silent Hill f in September 2025, putting the Silent Hill series back on track. Considering both announced and unannounced projects, we aim to release games at a frequency of about one release per year.
It is difficult to assess what we can achieve with this approach, but as the producer of the Silent Hill series, I will do my best. Ideally, we would like the interest in Silent Hill to grow steadily. We will share new information, so please be patient.
