Recently, a modder nicknamed Crasher returned to The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt. He decided to completely rework the game's "VGX Lighting" lighting modification using the official REDkit tools:
When creating the mod, I used uncompressed screenshots as a guide, and areas not shown in the trailers were recreated using, shall we say, "deductive reasoning." Some areas of the game have been rethought to better match scenes from the trailers.
The modder aims to change the visual style of The Witcher 3 in such a way that it corresponds to how the game looked in the 2013 trailer.
The "VGX Lighting Mod Next Gen" modification is distributed free of charge via Nexus Mods.
