The protection lasted almost three years.
The Dead Space remake was released in January 2023. The project received "very positive" reviews from players on Steam, but there was one caveat.
Electronic Arts used the infamous protection system to protect the PC version of the game. However, this is no longer a problem - in late 2025, a hacker with the nickname 0xZeOn announced the cracking of Denuvo in the Dead Space remake.
0xZeOn clarified that the crack testing was carried out on a PC with Windows 11 and an AMD Zen 3 processor (there were no tests on Windows 10 and Intel CPU).
A Russian voiceover from Mechanics VoiceOver (R.G. MVO) is available for the Dead Space remake.
