The end of 2025 marked the finale of a story that captivated millions of users online for two months.
26-year-old actress Konatsu Kato, who played Hinako Shimizu — the main character of Silent Hill f, has completed the challenging survival horror game. The path to the final credits was atypical: before the project, Kato had hardly played any action games, so the streams were accompanied by awkward moments.
The story began with a simple mistake. The actress rented a PS5 for a month, expecting that this time would be enough to complete the Konami game. In practice, the controls and combat system turned out to be a serious challenge for her, and her emotional reactions to the monsters quickly became memes. When the rental period expired, and the game was only half completed, Kato published a video in which she personally buys her own PS5, deciding to bring her character's story to an end.
The climax came on New Year's Eve during a five-hour stream. Despite the recently added "Casual Mode" for beginner players, Kato refused simplifications and completed Silent Hill f on standard difficulty. Viewers saw how the actress, who two months ago struggled to master the controller, confidently dealt with the final bosses.
Whether she will unlock other endings is still unknown, but this story clearly showed that perseverance can be more important than experience.
