The creators of the truck driver simulator American Truck Simulator recently announced their work on the Route 66 remake project and presented new screenshots.
SCS Software is reworking Route 66 and refining various locations.
The Grand Canyon will be made more detailed. The surrounding area will also be updated: for example, the town of Grand Canyon Village, and a new settlement of Tusayan will appear next to it.
The Hoover Dam will also be updated: the surrounding area has been completely rebuilt, which allowed the developers to make the landmark more authentic and add more details.
ATS players will be able to visit several observation decks and recreation areas, as well as appreciate the improved road layout.
The authors of American Truck Simulator have not yet announced the release date of the update with the reworked Route 66.
