Five years after its release, the CD Projekt RED game has matched Bethesda projects in terms of mod download numbers on Nexus Mods and has even managed to surpass some of them — it already has 1 billion downloads.
In terms of mod download counts on Nexus Mods, Cyberpunk 2077 has managed to overtake many other popular projects, including Stardew Valley, Baldur's Gate 3, and Stardew Valley.
However, in terms of the total number of mods, the CDPR project (19.1 thousand) is significantly inferior to Bethesda games; for example, TES IV: Oblivion has almost 33 thousand, Fallout 4 has almost 70 thousand, and for different versions of Skyrim, there are approximately 200 thousand in total.
