The unofficial PC version will be better thanks to Shadows of the Hunt.
Recently, a developer with the nickname fromsoftserve introduced a major update for the Bloodborne PC Remaster modification. A lot has changed, including the name — now the project will be called «Shadows of the Hunt».
Some new features and improvements:
- Dynamic shadow rendering is enabled, and the range of their display is increased.
- Added point light sources for street lamps, wall lamps, candles, torches, etc., which previously had no illumination.
- Added parallax occlusion mapping to surfaces throughout the game — the detail will be higher (this feature is «in development», it will be improved with each version)
fromsoftserve noted that the locations will have a different color correction compared to the original version:
FromSoftware made 2-3 alternative color corrections for each version of all maps. I choose the one I like best. Sometimes I leave the original. Expect more color and brightness.
The «low-quality models» that FromSoftware used for displaying at a distance in Central Yharnam and Cathedral Ward have been replaced with «full-quality» models.
The Shadows of the Hunt mod is distributed free of charge via Nexus Mods.
