The Ryzen 7 9850X3D has become a reality. AMD is once again betting on the gaming segment: the additional 3D V-Cache from the X3D lineup unlocks potential specifically in games rather than in application software.
The AMD Ryzen 7 9850X3D is an enhanced version of the popular 9800X3D processor with a boost frequency increased by 400 MHz. The maximum clock speed of the new 8-core processor reaches 5.6 GHz, and the cache size is again 104 MB. The TDP rating is 120W.
For now, we await independent performance tests—at this stage, AMD claims a gaming performance increase of approximately 3% compared to the 9800X3D—as well as the official price. The premiere is expected in the coming weeks. Given that the 9800X3D became the undisputed king of gaming processors in 2025, a new leader will soon appear in the segment.
