The Division 3 Will Be a "Monster" - Details From the Series Producer
At the New Game+ Showcase, the series' executive producer, Julian Gerighty, shared details about the upcoming The Division 3.
Although the project has been known since 2023, developers have kept the information secret until now. This time, Gerighty stated directly: "the new installment promises to be a real monster." This hints at a massive world and content surpassing the first and second games in the series.
The ambitions of Massive Entertainment are confirmed by the full involvement of key employees. In 2024, Gerighty left his work on Star Wars Outlaws to fully focus on The Division 3. Technical details have not yet been disclosed, but positioning the game as a "monster" clearly shows that the studio intends to set new standards for the looter-shooter genre.
Before the "third installment" is released, The Division universe will be expanded with two projects. The first is The Division 2: Survivors, inspired by the Survival mode from the first game and featuring a devastating blizzard that affects survival mechanics. The second is the mobile The Division Resurgence, scheduled for release before March 31, 2026. Fragments of both projects were shown at the Showcase.
