This is about Kotoyuki Tsuneki, who went to the same school as the main character. As a child, he was bitten by a fox, after which he became ill with the so-called "fox possession" - in fact, the spirit of a deity possessed him.
The Fox Mask is not just a helper, but a complex antihero with a deep backstory, striving to marry Hinako. He himself doubts his feelings, because his love is dictated by magic, and not his own will, which makes this image truly tragic.
