The Occultist combines elements of horror, adventure game, and detective genres. In the DALOAR studio project, players search for the missing father of the main character after arriving on a mysterious island where a dark sect used to operate. Numerous paranormal phenomena occur on the island, which will have to be faced during the investigation.
The gameplay is built from the first person perspective. An important role is played by the main character's mystical pendulum, which can be modified and used to interact with the environment. The developers emphasize the atmosphere of horror survival, stealth mechanics, as well as puzzles related to occultism.
The release of The Occultist is planned for PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC. According to the developers, published on YouTube, the game will be released "in a few months", the exact date has not yet been announced.
