Forza Horizon 5 - the Only Xbox Hit on PS5. The Rest of the Games Lag Behind - Analysts
Microsoft has started releasing some of its games on PS5, but so far only Forza Horizon 5 has really managed to interest the Sony console audience.
The racing game was released on PS5 in April 2025. According to Alinea Analytics, Forza Horizon 5 sales exceeded 5 million copies, making it the only Xbox project with truly large figures on the platform.
Other Xbox games that made it to PS5, including Sea of Thieves, Avowed, and Senua’s Saga: Hellblade II, showed much more modest results. None of these projects came close to Forza Horizon 5 sales.
This difference shows that not all Xbox games are equally successful outside of their own ecosystem.

- Forza Horizon 5 — 5.1 million;
- Gears of War Reloaded — 572 thousand;
- Indiana Jones and the Great Circle — 491 thousand;
- Microsoft Flight Simulator — 166 thousand;
- Senua’s Saga: Hellblade II — 50 thousand.
More Xbox Game Studios games are coming to PS5. The question remains whether any of them will be able to repeat the success of Forza Horizon 5.
