Ubisoft announced via a pictogram on X that three older games in the Far Cry series will receive an update to 60 frames per second.

The games in question are Far Cry 3, Far Cry Blood Dragon, and Far Cry Primal. Release dates and platforms for the updates have not yet been specified.

Previously, Far Cry 5 received a 60 FPS mode in 2023, while Far Cry 6 was originally released with support for this mode.

It is also known that Far Cry 7 is being developed as a survival shooter set in the "Alaska wilderness" featuring permadeath mechanics, backpacks, contracts, and other features. According to Ubisoft, the game will emphasize multiplayer. It is being built on the Frostbite engine instead of the aging Dunia, which will allow for the unification of technologies within the company.
