At the end of last year, an exclusive PS5 model with a reduced price and Japanese language support was released in Japan. The new product proved popular, and sales have continued to grow in recent weeks.
According to Famitsu, total sales of all PS5 models reached 46,753 units. For comparison, the first Switch model sold 46,360 units — the PS5 surpassed it by a hair.
Although this does not change Nintendo's dominant position in the market, the trend is positive.
