The new installment in the franchise is just a few weeks away from release.
In mid-January, 34BigThings srl announced that Carmageddon: Rogue Shift had gone gold, meaning that development was completed and the discs were sent to print.
The events of the new installment in the franchise will unfold in 2050 — in deadly races that decide who gets the chance to escape from the dying world:
Humanity is terrorized by hordes of gruesome creatures — the ravaged. At night, they fill the streets, and everyone who wants to survive has to take refuge in high-rise buildings. There is only one way to escape this nightmare — Carmageddon. Participants in deadly races compete for strength, prestige, and valuable prizes. But most importantly, the winner will have the right to embark on a dangerous journey to the last spaceport beyond the mountains. This is the only chance to escape from the dying world.
The release of Carmageddon: Rogue Shift is scheduled for February 6, 2026 on PC, Nintendo Switch 2, PlayStation 5, XBOX Series X|S.
