The authors of Battlefield 6 have released a new blog dedicated to their future plans for the game.
The developers published a teaser of the Contaminated map for the second season. In size, it is between Eastwood and Mirak Valley.
Contaminated is comparable to classic Battlefield maps such as St. Quentin Scar (Battlefield 1) or Arras (Battlefield V).
Also planned is the testing of a single-player "Battle Royale" mode (Battlefield REDSEC).
In addition, the authors of Battlefield 6 confirmed a remake of the "Golmud Railway" map from Battlefield 4:
The map is being recreated for modern Battlefield, not simply ported from the previous game. Our goal is to preserve what made the map so memorable in Battlefield 4, especially the combination of different types of weaponry, while improving it for modern Battlefield 6 systems. "Golmud" is planned as the largest Battlefield 6 map to date, which will give us the opportunity to expand the scale of the gameplay.
