The video begins in a region familiar from the alpha demo, then shows new locations — including the ice-covered Heian era and the Bakumatsu period. In each Crucible, players will have to fight fallen heroes distorted by darkness. Defeating them is necessary to cleanse the structures, but requires preliminary preparation. Surrounding zones are filled with enemies, loot, and temporary buffs.
The video also demonstrates in detail the two combat specializations of Nioh 3. Players can instantly switch between a samurai focused on melee combat and a ninja using ninjutsu. Key skills include the ability to go underground and attack suddenly, which is useful for both evasion and offense.
Nioh 3 will be released on February 6, 2026, on PS5 and PC. A free demo version with co-op support will become available on January 29, and progress from the demo can be transferred to the full version of the game.
