Grim Action-RPG Beast of Reincarnation from Pokémon Developers Will Surprise with a Detailed Post-Apocalyptic World
Beast of Reincarnation was one of the four games presented at the Xbox Developer Direct. The project by Game Freak, known for the Pokémon series, did not receive the same attention as Fable or Forza Horizon 6, but the game is worthy of attention.
At the showcase, the developers emphasized elements familiar from the first trailer: the fast pace of battles and the important role of animals and vegetation in the plot and exploration of the world. The quality and detail of the creatures' models are particularly noted.
Locations available for exploration were also shown. In some moments, they resemble the NieR series: players will find a post-apocalyptic world with "destroyed machines," set in 4026. The narrative is maintained in an oppressive tone, which is noticeable even in the image of the main character. World exploration includes non-standard mechanics, including moving and soaring on vines.
Beast of Reincarnation is an action-RPG set in Japan, which has been captured by monsters. Players will take on the role of Emma, who is accompanied on a dangerous journey by a dog named Ku.
The gameplay is based on a complex combat system and exploration of a dark, changing world. As you progress, the connection between the heroine and her companion strengthens, unlocking supernatural abilities and raising questions about the nature of humanity against the backdrop of the collapse of civilization.
The release will take place in the summer on PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X|S. From day one, the game will be available on Xbox Game Pass.
