Diablo IV to Get Patch 2.5.3 - Blizzard Fixes Sound Looping and Adjusts Boss Health
Various issues are gradually being addressed in Diablo IV.
The creators of Diablo IV are preparing for the upcoming release of update 2.5.3. Blizzard Entertainment traditionally publishes a full description of the upcoming patch in advance. It includes various technical fixes related to bosses, sound, and more.
Changes and improvements in patch 2.5.3:
- Fixed an issue where the "Executioner" monster affix sound effect would play continuously.
- Fixed an issue where some silent chests in Nahantu were not counted towards the "Trial of Fortune" seasonal rank objective.
- Fixed an issue where Zagraal in the Dark Citadel would not drop loot upon death.
- Fixed an issue where some Tower bosses had significantly more health than others.
- Fixed an issue where attempting to view information about a player with a hidden profile in the leaderboard would result in an error.
- Fixed an issue where the "Recycling" challenge was not completed when salvaging a tempered item.
- Fixed an issue where, when playing in local co-op, the reward for defeating all the Lesser Evils simultaneously was only granted to the player who opened the chest.
- Fixed an issue where the Divine Favors could stop gaining experience if one of the Favors had already reached level 5.
- Fixed an issue where some cosmetic items were displayed as unavailable even if they were already unlocked and could be used.
- Fixed various instances of placeholder text appearing in the wardrobe.
- Made various performance and stability improvements, as well as audio enhancements.
The release of update 2.5.3 for Diablo IV is expected on January 27, 2026.
