The original Resident Evil Code: Veronica was released in February 2000 and was exclusive to the Sega Dreamcast. After the console left the market, the game received a re-release Code: Veronica X on PlayStation 2 in 2001 and on Nintendo GameCube in 2003. In 2011 it reached PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360.
