Last year, the Russian tactics game «Sparta 2035» (Sparta 2035) stopped being sold on Steam in many regions. Now the project can be found for sale in Russia and the CIS countries.
Recently, players on Steam noticed the Warhounds page, screenshots of the game strongly resembled «Sparta 2035». At the same time, its developer is listed not as Lipsar Studio, but as Everplay DMCC.
The authors of «Sparta 2035» explained what it is:
Warhounds is the international version of «Sparta 2035». We initially planned to separate the Russian and international release. This is primarily due to the fact that the development of the game for our market took all our strength, and we did not spend it on localization or international marketing, and in the current time these are complex and extremely time-consuming tasks.
The creators of «Sparta 2035» clarified that the game will continue to receive updates: «Everything that we have planned for you in full. You will receive this content first».
«Sparta 2035» and «Warhounds» will not differ in content, features and overall technical condition. All differences will be purely cosmetic and localization. Right now, a Hotfix is in the works to fix the crash problem - it will be released this week. And already in February, version 1.4 will be released, with a whole set of technical fixes and new mechanics.
In the course of communication with one of the community members, the developers additionally clarified - the «international» version will receive some cosmetic differences:
The version will be adapted for the international market, which includes minor changes to skins, differences in the character editor and other cosmetic features that are due to the international market. Localization implies not just translation, but also adaptation of jokes, metaphors and other set expressions into other languages.
