Cyberpunk Action with a Death Loop: First Trailer for ReBlade: The Death Spiral
Publisher Spiral Up Games, together with studio ChillyRoom (authors of Loulan: The Cursed Sand), have announced ReBlade: The Death Spiral - a cyberpunk roguelike action game for PC. There is no release date yet, but the debut trailer shows the direction of the project.
The player takes on the role of a cursed Synthetic — an artificial being sentenced to "disposal" and stuck in an endless chain of reboots. Each run is an attempt to break free from the loop and understand what is happening in a world where cyberpunk is combined with motifs of Chinese mythology.
The combat system is based on rhythm and timing. Control, reading enemy actions, and грамотное чередование атаки и защиты — without blind button mashing.
Progress is tied to runs. Players will be able to combine weapons and chips, assembling builds for different situations. Among the opponents are "ancient beasts" enhanced by machines.
The plot complements the action: the game features allies, resource trading, and the gradual unveiling of the hidden truth of this world — from reboot to reboot.
