Leon Kennedy will return in Resident Evil Requiem. In this part of the franchise, the hero is no longer a young man.
Game director of Resident Evil Requiem, Kosi Nakanishi, recently spoke about how the image of the mature character was created — with the active help of female developers.
According to Nakanishi, women were the most strict when it came to Leon's appearance and noted the smallest details, including the folds on his neck:
We spent a lot of time polishing Leon's appearance. Leon has many fans among Capcom employees, and women were especially strict when checking his design. They pointed out even the smallest details — for example, the folds on the neck. When I told this story before, one fan said to me: "The female developers at Capcom did a great job."
The release of Resident Evil Requiem is scheduled for February 27, 2026.
