Resident Evil Requiem to Run at 120 FPS on PS5 Pro. Capcom Worked on Optimization
Capcom confirmed the information in a note on the Japanese PlayStation blog, detailing how the game utilizes the capabilities of the more powerful console.
The developers have provided two modes. The first is focused on image quality — 4K at 60 frames per second with full ray tracing support. The second focuses on smoothness: with ray tracing disabled, owners of high refresh rate monitors will be able to play at a maximum of 120 FPS, with an average of about 90 frames per second.
Capcom emphasizes that this is not a formal improvement, but the result of long-term optimization that the team has been working on.
When playing on PS5 Pro, you can enable or disable ray tracing. With ray tracing enabled, the game runs in 4K at 60 frames per second. When disabled, users of high refresh rate monitors will be able to play at a maximum of 120 FPS and an average of about 90 frames per second. We have dedicated a lot of time to optimization.
