Ubisoft Employees Respond - Strike Announced
French Ubisoft unions have announced a strike from February 10 to 12, 2026. The decision was made unanimously by all organizations, including STJV, Solidaires Informatique, and CGT.
The action is a response to the radical restructuring planned by management with mass layoffs and project closures.
The main reason for the protest is a new savings program that involves reducing fixed costs by 200 million euros in two years. Employees fear not only job losses — in France, up to 5% of staff may be affected, and in the Paris headquarters, every fifth employee — but also stricter remote work rules.
Close cooperation with international Ubisoft branches has also been confirmed to give the protest a global character and force management to reconsider the company's policy.
