Recently, the creator of Stardew Valley reminded fans about his other project, Haunted Chocolatier. He decided to debunk some popular myths.
For example, there is an opinion that ConcernedApe might abandon Haunted Chocolatier and then simply move the content created for that game into Stardew Valley.
The creator explained that even if he were to cancel the game (which he does not plan to do), the content would still not appear in Stardew Valley — it is a separate game:
No, I am not going to abandon Haunted Chocolatier. But even if I did, I still would not add the content to Stardew Valley. The thing is that Stardew Valley and Haunted Chocolatier are separate games. It does not even make sense from a technical point of view, because Haunted Chocolatier was built from scratch; it does not use the same engine as Stardew Valley. You cannot just "copy-paste" Haunted Chocolatier content into Stardew Valley.
He also noted that while working on Stardew Valley updates, he does not think about Haunted Chocolatier (and vice versa):
Stardew Valley is a different game, so you cannot exactly "test something" for Haunted Chocolatier in it.
Haunted Chocolatier still does not have a release date: "The game will come out when it is ready."
