The new game did not click with everyone.
The free-to-play Highguard failed to impress many players. Ratings have started appearing on the Metacritic aggregator, and a score has taken shape.
Based on 4 critic reviews, Highguard has 65 out of 100, while the user score is 2.0 out of 10 after more than 130 reviews. The game is being called "Concord 2" and "boring and monotonous."
Ratings are also being submitted in the PlayStation Store: Highguard has received more than 7 thousand of them, around 37% being "1 star" (more than 2.5 thousand), and 8% each for "three" and "two stars."
The notorious The Lord of the Rings: Gollum has 1,956 ratings, of which "1 star" accounts for 52% (that is, a little over one thousand). However, this is a premium game, not a free-to-play one like Highguard.
The game is also being slammed on Steam, where it is receiving "Mostly Negative" reviews.
