Microsoft updated Xbox achievement notifications in the web version of Cloud Gaming

Microsoft has redesigned the look of Xbox achievements as part of an Xbox Cloud Gaming interface update, which is already available for testing.

The new web version features changed notifications for standard and rare achievements. For a regular achievement, a new trophy icon in a wreath appears with the text "Achievement unlocked!" and the Gamerscore. For a rare one, there is an updated purple diamond, but the achievement description is not displayed. Animations have become calmer than before, and the sound accompaniment is missing for rare achievements, likely due to a bug.

The update brings the web interface closer to the console look: new animations, improved navigation, and usability. Since the interface is currently in preview, Microsoft may add more animations and descriptions.

To see the new designs, you need to visit the Xbox Cloud Gaming website, enable preview features in the settings, and refresh the page.

According to a 2025 report, more than half of the Gamerscore added to the Xbox ecosystem came from "spam games."
