Recently, players were once again reminded of Final Fantasy VII. Square Enix warned that the game will soon be removed from sale on Steam.
An announcement has appeared in the game's community page, and it is also available in Russian. The company explained that it plans to release a new version of Final Fantasy VII on Steam.
The current version of the game will be renamed "Final Fantasy VII – 2013" and will no longer be available for purchase. Those who manage to buy the game for their collection will retain access to it.
- All players who already own the 2013 Edition will be able to get the new version for free.
- After the release of the new version of the game, both editions will be available to owners in their Steam library.
- Save files cannot be transferred; they are incompatible.
