The developers fixed crashes, grenades, and more.
At the end of January, Valve released several updates for Counter-Strike 2. The developers fixed a number of bugs, refined grenade mechanics, and more.
Some changes and improvements:
- Molotov cocktails and incendiary grenades that bounce off enemy players now receive a one-time extension to detonation time to prevent mid-air explosions that occurred when the interaction timer with the game world expired.
- A performance issue that occurred when launching CS2 without an audio device has been resolved.
- Knife sounds have been adjusted.
- Map Nuke: The rendering bounds of the hanging helmet model have been adjusted to prevent shadows from appearing when the model goes beyond the visible space.
- Damage from HE grenades exploding in the air near the ground is now calculated differently than for explosions on the ground.
- The performance of chicken explosions has been improved.
- The Stronghold map has been updated to the latest version from the Workshop (exploits fixed)
