According to Corden, "some heavyweight Xbox projects from internal studios that are currently unavailable on Steam will appear there in the coming months." This statement points to the possible release of Minecraft — one of Microsoft's biggest projects, which is still absent from Steam.

Corden claims that Microsoft is taking into account the gradual shift of the core gaming audience to Steam and is adapting Xbox's development strategy. At its core is the concept according to which "the next Xbox will effectively become a PC".

At the same time, Corden notes that Microsoft's problems are not limited to "hardware" and stores. He calls the company "extremely unpopular" and believes that this affects developers' attitudes toward the Xbox ecosystem. Despite its financial resources and technical parity with PlayStation, both platforms, according to him, are "almost on the same level" in terms of real interest from developers, where trust and ease of working still remain important.

The journalist criticized the current state of the Xbox app on PC. He pointed to the poor visibility of games outside Game Pass, an unsuccessful tag system, and situations in which the app promotes projects the user has already purchased.
