The old working methods are no longer relevant.
A modification called Redux is available for Borderlands 3 — a large-scale project intended to rework the balance and gameplay. Some players would like to get a similar mod for the new looter-shooter as well, but such a project should not be expected any time soon.
Modder EpicNNG explained that, given the current state of Borderlands 4, making a large-scale mod is difficult.
The usual modding methods do not work; the previously used UAssetGUI tool has not been updated for a long time and therefore can no longer be used; the approach based on working with hotfixes is also no longer relevant — much has changed in Borderlands 4 (working is "extremely difficult").
The situation is such that the likelihood of a release of a new version of the Redux modification for Borderlands 3 is higher than the start of work on a project for B4.
There is hope for SDK tools — this direction is still at an early stage, and modders will be watching the situation.
