Yakuza 3 will soon return in the updated format of "Yakuza Kiwami 3 & Dark Ties." Some users have complaints about the performer of the role of Go Hamazaki.
Several years ago, it became known that Teruyuki Kagawa had been accused of sexual harassment. However, a criminal case was ultimately not opened.
At the time, the actor apologized on a program he hosted (but did not specify exactly what he was apologizing for, and did not confirm the events described in the media).

Indeed, his careless behavior caused distress to the woman. He is deeply reflecting on what was pointed out to him and is now coming to terms with it. He expressed his feelings of remorse and apologized to the woman, asking for her understanding and forgiveness. This statement is also published with her consent.
Some users remembered this story again after the remake was announced. Now dissatisfied individuals are urging SEGA to cut Teruyuki Kagawa from Yakuza Kiwami 3 & Dark Ties. As far back as last year, a petition was launched, gathering nearly 10,000 signatures.
SEGA declined to comment on Kagawa's casting and did not respond to the petition calling for his removal.
