Escape from Tarkov has long suffered from cheaters, and Battlestate Games developers acknowledge that fighting them has become almost a constant job. For every cheater caught, two new ones appear - like a mythical hydra, except in reality these are malicious players.
In the game community, an initiative is gaining popularity calling for the implementation of PlaySafe ID verification, repeating the successful experience of SCUM. The system provides anti-cheat protection and safeguards players by connecting honest users with one another, while not interfering with gameplay.
On the Tarkov Community website, the proposal collected 153 votes, 93% of which supported the idea. Players note:
This is not a punishment for honest players — it is protection. Right now, PlaySafe ID looks like the only truly effective long-term solution.
PlaySafe ID began studying the possibilities of implementation in Escape from Tarkov back in June 2025 and is ready to cooperate with the developers. More than 80% of gamers have encountered cheaters, and for Escape from Tarkov this is especially relevant.
