The improvised competition among gacha games continues. Genshin Impact is doing very well, while Honkai Star Rail and Zenless Zone Zero are not doing so well.
Fans of gacha games continue to track the financial success of various representatives of the genre. Data for January 2026 recently appeared.
The published ranking features three miHoYo (HoYoverse) games at once. HSR and ZZZ are seeing declining revenues, while Genshin has posted noticeable growth:
- Genshin Impact — first place; $66.04 million (in December 2025 — $40.83 million)
- Zenless Zone Zero — eighth place; $23.25 million (in December — $27.55 million)
- Honkai Star Rail — twenty-first place; $8.04 million (in December — $27.9 million)
Naruto Mobile (CN version) took second place with $44 million, while Love and Deepspace closes out the top three ($35.72 million).
As usual, the compiled ranking takes into account revenue from mobile platforms only (some games are also available on PC, for example miHoYo projects). They also clarify a nuance of the calculation: "Since Google Play does not exist in China, the estimates published regarding Android data in China are determined using a multiplier based on iOS revenue in the country".
