For those who were worried that Galactic Racer would not include podracing, Fuse Games has confirmed: it definitely will. Studio head and co-founder Matt Webster said:
You can't make a Star Wars racing game and not include podracing, right? The core fantasy of the game is becoming an elite pilot in the Galactic League, and podracing is the pinnacle of speed and racing in the Star Wars universe.
Webster added that the game will feature various vehicles to give players a diverse experience: familiar and new machines, in both solo and multiplayer modes. Among them are Luke Skywalker's landspeeder and a speeder bike from Endor. The trailer also showed other repulsorlift vehicles.
We are paying a great deal of attention to the third-person camera, as it defines the feel of the game. There are other viewpoints as well, so the player can feel the speed and understand the situation. A first-person view is also included.
Star Wars: Galactic Racer will be released in 2026 on Xbox Series X/S, PS5, and PC.
