Recently, modder Aynekko returned to the Diffusion project and released an update. It is a mod campaign for Half-Life with an original story.
According to the plot, a special forces veteran is driving to his vacation, but the car breaks down far from civilization, and the attempt to find help turns into new problems:
James decides to keep moving forward and comes across an abandoned factory, where a lone guard is dozing. At his instruction, the hero goes behind the building to find a phone. But when he returns, he sees only two army trucks and the body of the murdered guard... The factory is surrounded, James is wounded, and the only path leads inside the factory, which in reality turned out to be something else.
Version 1.1 of Diffusion includes full voice acting (the lines were recorded by live actors) and balance adjustments.
Some models have also been improved, and the enemy AI has been refined so that tactics should become more varied. Some battles were reworked, and new opponents were added at certain moments.
