Project Cloud Games has released a new trailer for the action RPG The Relic: First Guardian, featuring horror elements. The video shows an adaptation of the Korean folktale "The Heavenly Maiden and the Woodcutter."

Before the boss battle in the trailer, the narrator's voice is heard:

The day she could no longer look at the sky, she lost herself. This is not a curse and not a punishment. This is the story of one who lost the sky.

The ghost of a woman moves with inhuman speed and unnatural attack animations, which suggests that she is undead.

The game is inspired by the Soulslike genre: long attacks require precise timing, while fast combos are possible thanks to a pair of short blades. The trailer also shows a variety of locations — a burned village, dungeons, and the rescue of survivors from invaders.

The Relic: First Guardian was announced in 2021. The goal of the game is to assemble the Shattered Relic to save the country after the chaos caused by the void. The game will feature 70 bosses and a posture and parry system inspired by Sekiro.

The release is scheduled for May 26, 2026 on PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X/S.
