The creators of the MMO Dune: Awakening have introduced the "Chapter 3" update. The final part of the game has been reworked:
At the core of "Chapter 3" is a revised Landsraad system, which will give players more tasks, new rewards, and opportunities to choose the playstyle they prefer. The final part of the game is still focused on the Landsraad, but it has been completely redesigned. You will be able to choose assignments yourself, allowing you to earn faction reputation, gain the favor of the Great Houses, and receive specialization experience. Let us take a closer look at each of these points.
The game is introducing five specialization paths for different playstyles: crafting, gathering, exploration, combat, and subterfuge. Specialization experience will allow players to develop in these directions and unlock traits with upgrades; for example, it will be possible to deal more headshot damage or gain additional backpack slots.
The overview map now features 10 new locations for assignments, quests from the new story chapter, and faction contracts.
New trial locations and five trial stations have also been prepared. The game has received two new weapon types — dual blades and a volley flamethrower; the rapier has also been reworked.
The developers have completely abolished taxes on bases:
Power supply requirements still remain in effect so that inactive players do not occupy spaces available for construction. However, without taxes and with the recovery tool, maintaining a base will become significantly easier.

The premium add-on "Broken Lands Raiders" was also unveiled, including cosmetic items, building elements, and decorations made in the style of Arrakis smugglers.
