Cities: Skylines 2 will soon celebrate its third anniversary, and the Iceflake studio is not leaving the game without updates. The developers have focused on improving the interface to make city management easier.
The developers say:
We simplified the navigation process and changed some icons to make them more expressive and understandable. Most of the changes affected the toolbar — the colors and visual style have been updated. It now has more rounded shapes, and the needs indicators have become more noticeable.
In addition to the interface, the team is working on:
- the ability to change the colors of buildings and transport;
- an internal encyclopedia with key information about mechanics;
- improving the day and night cycle for construction in difficult conditions;
- more realistic weather and effects (fog, snow).
The exact release date of the update has not been disclosed, but the developers make it clear that work is progressing actively.
Cities: Skylines 2 is currently available only on PC; a console version has not yet been announced.
