According to Take-Two's latest financial report, the Switch 2 version is not included in the current release plan. The reason is more serious than an ordinary delay — work on the port has been suspended.
A Take-Two representative told Variety:
We made the difficult decision to suspend development. We are currently focused on the quality of post-release content and project optimization.
Whether work on the port will resume is still unknown. The company noted that it is "working closely" with Nintendo on other games for Switch 2 (PGA Tour 2K25, WWE 2K26), but there is no information about the future of Borderlands 4.
