Wildlight Entertainment announced that Raid Mode 5v5 has become a permanent part of Highguard. The decision was made after a successful weekend test that had originally been planned as a temporary event.

Wildlight Entertainment announced that Raid Mode 5v5 has become a permanent part of Highguard. The decision was made after a successful weekend test that had originally been planned as a temporary event.

The results turned out to be telling: the number of players choosing 5v5 battles nearly matched the figures of the classic 3v3 format. For the team, this became proof that this was exactly the format the game had been missing.

Adding more players to the maps caused euphoria in the community. Many positive reviews appeared on Reddit and X under the developers' posts with the headline "We did it!". Players note that Highguard has finally gained the right pace.

The main complaint about the 3v3 version was that the maps were too large and at times empty, which made matches feel slow. In the 5v5 format, battles became more chaotic, dynamic, and intense — in the opinion of many, this is how the mode should have been from release.

At the same time, Wildlight is not abandoning 3v3. The mode will remain for those who prefer more measured and tactical gameplay. This flexible approach is already delivering results: Highguard's Steam reviews are gradually improving and are approaching "Mixed" status — the average rating is currently 43% across nearly 36 thousand reviews.
