Stardew Valley creator Eric "ConcernedApe" Barone recently spoke with IGN. At the end of February, the project will celebrate its first milestone anniversary, and the creator is preparing to present something.
He shared a teaser of the planned content for update 1.7 with IGN:
I try not to reveal too much because I want it to be a surprise. But I can still say, without going into details: in this update, we will try to implement one of the fans' popular requests — to make the part of the game related to children more interesting. I'm working on that right now, although the update will also include many other things that nobody explicitly asked for, but I think everyone will like them.
ConcernedApe also noted that he will add two marriage candidates to Stardew Valley, but will not reveal them yet — he will share details on the anniversary day.
