The release of Final Fantasy VII Rebirth on Nintendo Switch 2 and Xbox Series X|S is scheduled for June 2, 2026. This is an important event for fans of the series, as the game was previously unavailable to part of the audience.
The price is particularly noteworthy. In the digital stores eShop and Xbox Store, the game sells for $49.99. The initial discount received a positive reaction from the community — Square Enix is praised for its balanced price tag.
The size of the Nintendo Switch 2 version has also been revealed — 102 GB. For comparison, the game size on PS5 and PC is about 150 GB.
The project director noted that the team paid special attention to optimizing data on Switch 2, using the experience gained while working on the Steam Deck version.
