The developers have started teasing characters from the Honkai Star Rail 4.0 update.
miHoYo (HoYoverse) has published promo art of Ashwile (5 stars rarity, the Path of the Hunt, Electric damage type).
The gameplay mechanics of the character have not yet been revealed, but a lore description has been presented:
I am Ashwile, a genius detective from the Ashwile Detective Agency. Here is my business card. I take on any assignment: find a missing cat or dog, pretend to be a parent at a meeting, catch an intergalactic criminal, or find an Aeon... What do you want to entrust to me?
The release of the Honkai Star Rail 4.1 update is expected at the end of March 2026.
