Valve recently introduced a new Steam feature. It will allow developers to specify the release date of the full version for games in "early access."
Developers are offered several options to choose from - you can specify a specific date or a release window (year // year + quarter or month)
After that, users will be able to see the planned release date of the full version of the game on the Steam page:
Valve noted that, thanks to the new option, the release date of the full version is now officially displayed in the "personal calendar" of players.
This feature is optional. Some developers had such a request, but you can work in the same mode and not specify anything:
Sometimes early access game developers themselves have asked us about having a special place to show the planned release date of the full version, as they wanted to share their plans with players. Many studios already report the planned release date in other places, such as in the text description on the store page, in news publications, on social networks, in forums, etc.
