We acted aggressively enough. At the beginning, the game was not particularly attacked by cheaters, but, as with any successful multiplayer project, over time this, unfortunately, becomes a problem.
He added that the fight against cheaters requires constant advancement and a careful approach to lifetime bans.
We have implemented a system and started blocking players. I understand that this is happening because I see a stream of people trying to contact the studio and me personally with the words: “I didn’t do anything.” We are already seeing noticeable changes and can say that we have probably banned tens of thousands of players.
At the same time, Söderlund acknowledged the possibility of erroneous blockings and noted that such cases would be corrected. Embark Studios, according to him, will continue to fight against players who violate the rules.
