The Russian MMO shooter PIONER had a problematic launch. Users noted problems with servers, and also pointed to numerous shortcomings.
However, developers began releasing patches with fixes and content — the rating gradually began to improve.
Overall PIONER reviews on Steam are still "mixed", but recent ones are now "mostly positive".
Players of PIONER note improvements. However, there are also dissatisfied users — some users, like Chapaev, complain that at the late stage of the game the fixes described by the developers are not yet felt, there is little content in the game:
[...] The developers write about fixes, but they are not there, from the late game (which is reached in 10 hours of play) you will only have a non-working PVP mode, an event in the Mediterranean on a ******* hare (which you will wait for at the spawn for 30-40 minutes and close the event in 3 minutes) and ********* PVE raids, which are **** easy, and in normal gear and pumping they run afk in 15-20 minutes. That's all.
