Team Cherry returned to the original game and prepared improvements.
Team Cherry recently reminded players about the original Hollow Knight. A next-gen version of the game is now available on Nintendo Switch 2, PS5 and Xbox Series X|S consoles.
Players are offered increased frame rates and resolution, as well as additional effects.
You don't have to pay for the update: it will be available for free to all players with Nintendo Switch, PS4 and Xbox.
The developers noted that the version from the PS Plus catalog is also subject to upgrade (they received messages that sometimes it does not work, they are now negotiating with Sony on this issue).
The PC version of Hollow Knight received a patch with various improvements (the previous one was released several years ago).
Some changes:
- added support for 21:9 and 16:10 resolutions
- when opening the inventory, a “pause” is now activated
- improved gamepad support
- various balance and mechanics fixes
- performance improvement
